The goal of Steele Memorial Foundation, as recorded in its bylaws, states: "The Foundation, by working with and through Steele Memorial Medical Center, seeks to improve medical care and medical services, thereby benefiting the communities, residents, and visitors of Lemhi and Custer Counties". Steele Memorial Foundation Board of Directors The 2009 Annual Giving Campaign began in April of 2009, and gained momentum in November with the Foundation's annual letter drive. With a goal of $40,000, the Foundation chose to designate the 2009 Annual Giving funds to the Rehabilitation Department. These funds have allowed the therapy department to purchase much needed equipment to better serve our Rehabilitation patients. The previous Annual Giving Campaigns were a great success and the Foundation hopes with the community's continued support to repeat the accomplishments of preceding years. The 2008 Campaign, through your generosity brought in $56,466.14. This money benefited the community and Steele Memorial Medical Center by allowing the purchase of a state-of-the-art Wireless Biotelemetry System. The 2007 Campaign achieved the unprecedented by raising $86,876.00 for the purchase of Computerized Radiography Equipment. The 2006 Campaign raised $32,290.56 for the purchase of a Fetal Monitoring Unit for our Obstetrical Program. The money gained from each of our campaigns supplies Steele Memorial Medical Center with modern tools to continue providing quality, compassionate healthcare.
